Let's keep you updated

Dear Partner,

Last-minute sale

The last-minute sale at Transavia has started last week. That means flights with attractive discounts to countless destinations*. A holiday in the sun on the Mediterranean, hiking in Scandinavia or discovering a new city: it’s all possible for late deciders – and starting from only €48.

New Egyptian destination: Cairo

Starting 27 October 2025, Transavia will fly from Amsterdam to Cairo three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday). This fourth Egyptian destination in our network is now available to book.

Cairo offers a mix of sun, culture and family activities. Highlights include the pyramids of Giza and the new Grand Egyptian Museum. Egypt remains popular in the winter months thanks to guaranteed sunshine and good value for money.

We also fly to Cairo from Paris-Orly, Lyon and Marseille in France.

Information about the NATO Summit

Accessibility around the 2025 NATO Summit

The NATO Summit, taking place on 24 and 25 June 2025 at the World Forum in The Hague, will affect roads, public transport, air travel and shipping. This is because many security measures are needed.

Motorways/roads

Until Thursday, 26 June, drivers should expect serious traffic disruptions on the roads in and around The Hague, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Due to (temporary and partial) closures of motorways, roads, entrance and exit ramps, viaducts and tunnels on the A5, A4, A44 and N44 roads, significant delays are likely. This also applies to regional and local roads in and around The Hague, Wassenaar, Katwijk, Noordwijk, Haarlemmermeer, Leiden and Rotterdam. The Directorate General for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat) provides up-to-date information on road closures, diversions or disruptions on the motorways.

Air traffic

If you will be travelling to or from Schiphol during the week of the NATO Summit, please note that both the airport and the surrounding roads are expected to be busy. In the week of the NATO Summit, two runways are unavailable at Schiphol. There are also airspace restrictions. As a result, there are fewer flights to and from Schiphol than usual. Schiphol offers up-to-date information on flights to and from the Netherlands.

- The Polderbaan will be used to park government aircraft during the summit. These are the planes on which heads of government and ministers arrive in the Netherlands.

- The Buitenveldertbaan will not be available, as Schiphol Airport will be undergoing major maintenance until 28 September.

Minimal impact on our flight schedule

Earlier this year, Schiphol Airport imposed flight restrictions for this period. This means that approximately 20% of the flights we had planned cannot take place according to the current schedule. We have succeeded in adjusting to the restrictions with minimal impact for our partners and passengers.

All relevant partners and passengers with a schedule change during this period have now been informed.

If there are any new updates or developments, we will of course share them as soon as possible.

Continued demand for air travel

Due to continued demand for air travel on certain routes, we will increase capacity during the winter of 2025/2026. Amsterdam–Rabat will go from two to three flights per week, and Amsterdam–Agadir will remain available with three flights weekly. There is a new route between Brussels and Agadir, also operating three times a week. Moreover, Transavia will be flying throughout the winter to the Greek island of Crete for the first time. Continued demand will also lead to additional flights to popular destinations in Spain and Portugal, among others.

The Airbus A321neo is also being used on more and more flights. This aircraft is quieter, more efficient and offers more seats on board than the Boeing 737-800. This allows Transavia to offer more tickets per flight and respond efficiently to growing demand.

Staff offered

What do an airline and the hospitality industry have in common? Hospitality and flexibility! Are you looking for temporary reinforcements for your front office team or hosts for an event? Then use trained, professional hospitality staff from Transavia Cabin Crew.

How does this work?

Transavia Cabin Crew employs many women who, from day one of their pregnancy, are prohibited from flying. They also not permitted to fly when breastfeeding. However, they can be outsourced to other sectors via Transavia Secondment. The airline’s secondment branch therefore enters into agreements with various companies, offering hourly rates comparable to those of temporary workers. Colleagues will not wear the Transavia uniform during the secondment assignments.

At Transavia they are looking for enjoyable assignments not only for pregnant colleagues but also for other employees who are temporarily unable to fly due to health reasons. They are already working with a range of organisations, such as those in retail, hospitality and events, but are keen to expand their network.
