Travel documents

You are going on holiday shortly! But without the right documents, you won’t get far. So we have put together a list of what documents you need to bring with you to the airport.

Which travel documents do I need to bring?

  • Your passport or national identity card
Needless to say, you will need a valid passport or national identity card. You will not get much further than the check-in desk with an expired or damaged document. Check with the consulate for the country you are flying to or the website for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs whether you require a passport or national identity card for your trip and how long it should be valid for.

  • A visa
Not all destinations require a visa. Whether or not you require a visa depends not only on the destination, but also your nationality. In some cases, you are required to purchase a visa beforehand. So, make sure to check this well ahead of your trip by contacting the consulate or embassy for the country to be visited.

  • Are you a parent travelling alone with under-age children? Read through the additional rules carefully.
  • Are you taking your pet with you? Travel documents are also required for pets. More information can be found here.

Do you have all travel documents required for your trip? Then we’d like to wish you a wonderful trip!
