Would you like to reserve a specific seat? You can do so when booking, but also at a later time via My Transavia.

How do I reserve a seat?

You can reserve a seat either directly when booking your flight, or later by logging into My Transavia. It is possible to reserve a seat until 30 hours before your flight departs. If you do not reserve a seat, you can choose from the remaining available seats when you check in online.

If you check in at the airport, we will assign you a seat. This may mean you and your travel companion(s) will not be seated next to one another.

How do I reserve a seat if I booked my flight through a travel agent?

If you booked through a travel agent, you can reserve a seat from 3 weeks before you fly until 30 hours prior to departure. You can do so via My Transavia or via your travel agent’s website.

How much does it cost to reserve a seat?

The fee for reserving a seat will depend on the fare package you have chosen: Basic, Plus or Max. The costs will also depend on the type of seat and the destination of your flight.

Please note that back row seats and emergency-exit row seats cannot be reclined.

Do I need to reserve a seat for my special luggage?

You can reserve an extra seat if, for example, you are taking a wedding dress or musical instrument with you (max. dimensions, including protective cover, of 110 x 44 x 65 cm, weight not to exceed 20 kg).

You can book an extra seat by contacting our Service Centre. Be sure to reserve a seat for yourself and one for your luggage, so that you can be sure of sitting next to your possessions.

Why am I unable to reserve a seat?

You can reserve a seat via My Transavia until 30 hours before departure. When checking in, you will be able to choose from all available standard seats. If you’ve already checked in online, you can no longer make any changes to your booking.
  • passengers who are unable to walk (e.g. wheelchair users)
  • passengers who require extra oxygen on board
  • passengers travelling with a pet in the cabin
  • unaccompanied children aged 5 to 11 years

We will make sure these passengers are assigned the most suitable seats.

Why am I unable to reserve a seat near the emergency exit?

The following passengers are not permitted to reserve a seat by the emergency exit:

  • Passengers travelling with children (ages 0 through 11)
  • Corpulent passengers
  • Pregnant women
  • Passengers who are blind or deaf
  • Passengers with health problems
  • Unaccompanied minors (ages 12 through 15)
  • Passengers with a fear of flying
  • Mentally handicapped passengers

How wide are the aircraft seats?

To guarantee safety on board, it is important that the armrests of the seats are able to freely move up and down. The space between the armrests on our aircraft seats is 42 cm. If this does not provide enough space for you, please book an extra seat by contacting our Service Centre.
