Children travelling alone

Will your child be travelling alone? This is very exciting for a child! Naturally, we want to make sure the flight is as comfortable as possible. Your child will receive assistance from our ground and cabin crew. Assistance is required for children ages 5 to 11 travelling alone. The fee for this service is €50 per child per flight. 

Children between the ages of 5 and 11 years travelling alone

If your child is between the ages of 5 and 11 years, he or she may travel alone. This means without being accompanied by anyone aged 16 and older, but with the assistance of our personnel. The fee for this service is €50 per child per flight. For safety reasons, children under the age of 5 years may not travel alone.

Children between the ages of 12 and 15 years travelling alone

Is your child between the ages of 12 and 15 years? He or she may travel without any assistance from our personnel. But if you would like your child to receive assistance, the fee per child per flight is €50.

Making a booking for a child travelling alone

You can book a flight for a child travelling alone up to 48 hours before departure. You do this by calling our Service Centre. After the booking has been made, you need to fill out the form below and print out 5 copies. Make sure to take these documents with you to the airport.

Assistance offered to your child

  1. The airport is the first stop on the journey taken by your child travelling alone. The ground crew will accompany him or her to the aircraft. 
  2. The cabin crew will help your child board the flight and take your child to their seat. 
  3. After arriving at the destination, the crew will hand your child over to our colleagues at the airport,
  4. where your child must be met by someone aged 16 or older. Make sure you make all arrangements beforehand because, otherwise, your child will have to fly back on the first return flight for safety reasons.
  5. The person who is meeting your child must report in at the airport beforehand. He or she must also sign a form for picking up your child. 
  6. The fee for this assistance per child per flight is €50.
